Recently there was a release with my old sounds. More than 20 years ago i was into speedcore (very fast hardcore techno) and besides very fast tempos i experimented with very slow ones. Recently a producer i know told me that there is a new label in Hamburg that is releasing the kind of hard slow music i was making 20 years ago. I sent my tracks and they were released. I suggest familiarising yourself with this ancient sound:

Thanks. By the way, the owner of this label is Low Entropy, about 20 years ago, i used to listen to his sound a lot when he was released on Praxis Records. Are you familiar with the Praxis Records? I think you might be interested in a lot of things from it. These are veterans of the noisy electronic sound - hard at work since the early 90s. https://praxisrecords.bandcamp.com/track/the-future - for example this one was released more than 30 years ago...

I've been working for Atari Teenage Riot at the time, also listening to Techno Animal a lot.
Re-entry: https://technoanimal.bandcamp.com/album/re-entry-2023-remaster - i might prefer the non-remastered version. Today I find it hard to apply the sound of that period to my circumstances. But there is days, when i like to go back there, so thanks for the reminder.
Some industrial-noise-glitch-slow-distortion stuff needs a long time to grow on me. And way too much of this is guided by strange, vain personas. The self-celebration and fan culture, that comes with this (and a lot more music), annoys me, i guess ;) Having met some of those personas personally i can say, that i do respect artists, who aren't distorted personas themselves (in my own view only, of course). And today I am living in an urgent environment myself. As a result of that at least the darker side of urgency in music isn't much on my ear plate. I like it simple, and pure. Must be age :)

All that said, i am listening to your album now, on very low volume. A police helicopter, following people in my area, adds from outside. It fits. Reading about the Decca Tree at the same time.

I liked Alec's solo work (released on Mille Plateaux) better than this commercially successful ensemble of his. What exactly did you do for them?

@ivan zlax I've been recording most Atari Teenage Riot albums up until 60 seconds wipe-out, and a few singles. Alec's solo works are also more up my own taste, "Les Étoiles Des Filles Mortes" being one of my favs. During that time Alec released my own music on Geist Recs. under the name Rope. Yes, great unique sounding stuff. Thank you for reminding me: i haven't re-listened to this in probably 15 years - now you've reminded me and i'd love to hear this release again. It's undoubtedly one of the favs for me too.

I haven't listened to everything yet, but to my taste the song "This is Berlin" has a very actual sound, i wouldn't think it's a quarter of a century old.
